We are a relatively new student-run society founded in October 2017 by two CUED students. Our primary aim is to compete in the annual Unmanned Air Systems Challenge (UAS Challenge) held by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). This project leads us to design and build every part of an autonomous drone, from the airframe, through to the flight control system, and the aircraft electronics. Our Mark I drone has been completed and the maiden flight took place in June 2019 at West Cambridge.
